AstaLyteis developed to ensure better health and growth in piglets. The product combines:

Electrolytes and energy → against dehydration and low energy levels

When is it used?

From day 2 in farrowing pen

When creep feeding (days 10–13)

The first 3 days after weaning

During heat stress

After illness or antibiotic treatment

Application (water mixture):

50–75g per 1L of warm water (30–40°C)

500ml solution per litter – 1x daily for 3–5 days

Alternatively: moisten feed (1L solution per 1kg feed)

Basis: Dextrose, whey protein, electrolytes, yeast, wheat hydrolysate

Added: White. A, D3, E, C, Zn, Se, Fe, Cu, citric acid

Probiotics:

Bacillus subtilis and B. licheniformis (20.1×10⁹ CFU)

Enterococcus faecium (3.15×10⁹ CFU)

You will need:

AstaLyte powder

Clean container for mixing

Warm water (30–40°C) – activates probiotics

Bowls or troughs

Whisk or stirring tool

Measuring cup

In farrowing pen (Day 2–8)

Mix 50–75g AstaLyte with 1L of warm water

Stir for 1–3 minutes

Pour 500ml of solution into a bowl per farrowing pen (15 pigs)

Give once daily

Continue for 3–5 days

Clean the bowl after 4 hours

At creep feeding start (Day 10–13)

Mix as above

Moisten creep feed with 20ml solution per 100g feed

Serve to the pigs

Continue for 3 days

Helps pigs transition to solid feed

When weaning

Standard method:

Mix 50g AstaLyte with 1L warm water

Stir for 1–3 minutes

Pour 6L of solution into drinking bowl per weaning pen

Continue for 3 days

Focus on smaller/weaker pigs

Alternative method:

Mix 1L solution with 1kg feed

Serve as moistened food

Use in the first 3 days after weaning
