Transition Feeder
The main principle of the Transition Feeder is freshly mixed feed every time.
Mixing of feed and water only takes place when the pigs activate the feed hoop.
A feed censor will prevent overfilling of the feed bowl.
“Little but often” is the concept behind the feeding pattern when using a Transition Feeder.
Adjustable regulation of the feeding time on the machine from 5 - 60 min. per hour provides time for both digestion and rest. The portion size is controlled by the overflow sensor.
Deactivating feed bars will be especially useful for very small pigs under 3 kg.
When starting a new feeding cycle, the machine will emit 4 beeps so that the pigs know that it is feeding time.
The feed concentration is slowly adjusted to the pig's weight and a smooth and even growth curve is built.
